Description

Bruker Biospin belongs to the Bruker Corporation group of companies. It is the global market and technology leader in analytical magnetic resonance instruments. It maintains R&D, production, and demo facilities for NMR instrumentation in Germany, France, U.S., and Switzerland. Primary for the present project is Bruker Biospin’s knowledge, capability, and focus in the field of solid-state NMR spectroscopy, EPR spectroscopy, and in the field of hyperpolarization techniques, notably Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP). In 2009 Bruker introduced successfully the first commercial solid-state DNP NMR system, thus contributing to and supporting the continuously growing interest of the NMR community in DNP. Bruker Biospin maintains a variety of NMR facilities in Germany, France, and Switzerland, such like an R&D dept. for solid-state NMR probes, a production facility and a strong application group for solid-state NMR.

Expertise

Bruker Biospin maintains a variety of NMR facilities in Germany and France, such like an R&D dept. for solid-state NMR probes, a production facility and a strong application group for solid-state NMR. At the site in Rheinstetten, Germany and at the site in Wissembourg, France, the following infrastructure relevant for the project is available:

  • 7 solid-state NMR spectrometers (300-800 MHz) in application and test laboratories
  • Several solid-state DNP NMR spectrometers
  • Electronic rf and dc test laboratories and workshops for manufacturing cryogenic equipment
  • Mechanical workshops
  • High-precision optical measurement equipment for micromechanical engineering
  • Computer simulation equipment and capabilities for rf circuit simulation and full 3D electromagnetic field simulation
  • Mechanical engineering CAD dept.
